Between 1966 and 1973, Fiat manufactured the Dino, a rear-wheel-drive sports car featuring a front engine. The name “Dino” is derived from the Ferrari Dino V6 engine, which was incorporated into the car for participation in Formula 2 racing. In 1967, Formula 2 regulations stipulated the use of six-cylinder engines, requiring a production run of at least 500 units within 12 months. Consequently, Fiat and Ferrari struck an agreement, with Fiat responsible for producing the requisite 500 engines.This particular Dino 2400 Coupe, initially adorned in silver-blue, underwent a transformation when its present owner applied a Ferrari Giallo (yellow) spray-paint finish. 1939 Ford Deluxe V8 Sedan (project) - licensed till 2024 and registered as used.

This rare model Ford was a 2 owner vehicle up until we purchased her. She remained in the 2nd owners ownership for over 50 years.
The vehicle was stripped and painted by her elderly custodian and in true old school fashion, all the parts were carefully packed, the bumpers and trim pieces wrapped, the engine stripped and crated, ensuring nothing was lost or misplaced during restoration.
The hubs and brakes were overhauled, the engine (24 stud V8) was stripped and already machined by the engineers, ready for assembly, all new engine parts were sourced and purchased from the United States and will form part of the sale.
This old girl was properly painted and still presents well. There is not a gram of filler or rust anywhere and having spent most of its life in the dryer parts of Mpumalanga, she has no evident rust repair either.
PS - The vehicle was loosely mocked up to facilitate the sale and ease of transport. the balance of the parts are still packed away.
A great project that needs some finishing off in either its original or in a custom rod form.
